Mariatorget metro station is a station on the red line of the Stockholm metro, located in the district of Södermalm beneath Mariatorget. The station was opened on 5 April 1964 as part of the first stretch of the Red line, between T-Centralen and Fruängen.

Folkoperan is an opera house in Stockholm, Sweden, at Hornsgatan 72 in the southern district of Södermalm. It is one of Stockholm's most successful opera houses in terms of audience attendance, and is considered Sweden's most important stage for freelance opera singers and musicians. Folkoperan is situated 200 metres northwest of Mariatorget.
