Aberystwyth Castle is a Grade I listed Edwardian fortress located in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Mid Wales. It was built in response to the First Welsh War in the late 13th century, replacing an earlier fortress located a mile to the south. Aberystwyth Castle is situated 600 feet southwest of Old College.

The Royal Pier, Aberystwyth is a pleasure pier located in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales. The first pier to open in Wales, after a series of heavy storms it is now a much shortened version of its originally constructed length of 242 metres. Royal Pier is situated 430 feet north of Old College.
