Mid Wales
Mid Wales, or Central Wales, is a region of Wales, encompassing its midlands, in-between North Wales and South Wales. Aberystwyth is in the county of Ceredigion, in Wales. Aberystwyth, called the true capital of Wales by some, is a smallish town on the Ceredigion coast, just below the Dyfi estuary.

Cardigan is a coastal town in western Wales. Over half the population of 4200 speak Welsh as a first language.

Brecon is in many ways a typical small Welsh market town in Mid Wales. The surrounding scenery is quite stunning, as Brecon is located within the Brecon Beacons National Park, which extends to the south, east and west.

Ceredigion is an extensive county in mid Wales. A partly coastal county, it is bordered by Cardigan Bay to the west, Gwynedd to the north, Powys to the east, Carmarthenshire to the south, and Pembrokeshire to the south-west.

The Brecon Beacons National Park is a national park in southern Wales. Within an area of 1347 km², the park contains some of the most spectacular and distinctive upland formations in southern Britain.
