Saratoga Race Course is a Thoroughbred horse racing track located on Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs, New York, United States. Opened in 1863, it is often considered to be the oldest major sporting venue of any kind in the U.S. Saratoga Race Course is situated 2½ miles northwest of Interlaken.

Yaddo is an artists' community located on a 400-acre estate in Saratoga Springs, New York. Its mission is "to nurture the creative process by providing an opportunity for artists to work without interruption in a supportive environment." On March 11, 2013, it was designated a National Historic Landmark. Yaddo is situated 1½ miles northwest of Interlaken.
