Great How or Great Howe is a hill of 522 metres in the west of the English Lake District, lying south of Scafell Pike and east of Burnmoor Tarn. It lies in the civil parish of Eskdale, the unitary authority area of Cumberland and the ceremonial county of Cumbria.

Dalegarth railway station is the easterly terminus of the 15-inch gauge Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway in the English county of Cumbria. It has a café and shop for passengers, along with a run-round loop, turntable and siding for trains.

Cockley Beck is a small hamlet, situated in the Duddon Valley in Cumbria, England. Historically, the hamlet was part of Lancashire. Located today within the Lake District National Park, it was established in the late 16th century, and is closely associated with the mining of copper ore in Cumbria. Cockley Beck is situated 3½ miles east of Eskdale.
