Myland

Myland is a civil parish in the City of Colchester district of Essex, England. It is a northern suburb of the built up area of Colchester itself. The original village began approximately one mile north of the centre of Colchester which probably accounts for its name.

Colchester Castle is a Norman castle in Colchester, Essex, England, dating from the second half of the eleventh century. The keep of the castle is mostly intact and is the largest example of its kind anywhere in Europe, due to it being built on the foundations of the Roman Temple of Claudius.
