Alfred Wainwright in his The Outlying Fells of Lakeland identifies four summits on Potter Fell: Brunt Knott, Ulgraves and two unnamed summits, all of which are thus recognised by the Database of British and Irish Hills. Potter Fell is situated 2½ miles west of Whitwell and Selside.
