Llyn Celyn is a reservoir constructed between 1960 and 1965 including the highly controversial Tryweryn flooding in the valley of the River Tryweryn in Gwynedd, Wales.

Llyn Arenig Fawr

Llyn Arenig Fawr is a lake and reservoir located to the northeast of Arenig Fawr, a mountain in North Wales. The reservoir's primary purpose is to supply water to the nearby town of Bala and the numerous small villages in the surrounding area.

Capel Celyn

Capel Celyn was a rural community to the northwest of Bala in Merionethshire, Wales, in the Tryweryn valley. The village and other parts of the valley were flooded in the Tryweryn flooding of 1965 to create a reservoir, Llyn Celyn, in order to supply Liverpool and Wirral with water for industry.

Llidiardau is a small hamlet in Gwynedd, North Wales, approximately 4 miles northwest of Bala, on an unnamed road, 2.3 miles from Arenig Fawr and in the shadow of Mynydd Nodol. The community population taken at the 2011 census was 20.

Frongoch

Frongoch is a village located in Gwynedd, Wales. It lies close to the market town of Bala, on the A4212 road. It was the home of the Frongoch internment camp, used to hold German prisoners-of-war during First World War, and then Irish Republican prisoners from the 1916 Rising. Frongoch is situated 3½ miles east of Llanycil.
