The Aquarium of Genoa is the largest aquarium in Italy and one of the most significant in Europe. The Bigo is an architectural structure located in the Old Port of Genoa, designed by architect Renzo Piano. Built for the Genoa Expo '92, it has become one of the main symbols of the urban redevelopment of the Ligurian capital. Bigo is situated 140 metres south of Aquarium of Genoa.

The Palazzo Ambrogio Di Negro is a building located in Via San Luca at number 2 in the area of the Mercato di Banchi in the historic centre of Genoa, included on 13 July 2006 in the list of the 42 palaces enrolled in the Rolli di Genova that became World Heritage by UNESCO on that date. Palazzo Ambrogio Di Negro is situated 280 metres east of Aquarium of Genoa.
