The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is a Friday mosque located in Muscat, the capital city of the Sultanate of Oman. Completed in 2001 in a contemporary Islamic style, it is the largest mosque in the country and can accommodate 20,000 worshipers. As Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is situated 730 metres southeast of Jarīdat al Waţan.

The Sultan Qaboos Stadium at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, also known locally as Boshar, is a government-owned multi-purpose stadium in the Boshar district of Muscat, Oman. As Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex is situated 2½ km southeast of Jarīdat al Waţan.
