Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city in Nepal. The Tibetan and Sanskrit name for the site means 'self-arising' or 'self-sprung'. Swayambhunath is situated 1¼ km northeast of Ring Road.

Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum of Nepal is located near the World Heritage Site of Swayambhunath. The museum was established in 1975. Since then the museum has collected 50,000 specimens of Nepal’s flora, fauna, and funga. Natural History Museum is situated 1 km northeast of Ring Road.

Dasharath Rangasala
