Kautokeino is the administrative centre of Kautokeino Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located along the river Kautokeinoelva, about 60 kilometres south of the village of Masi and about 40 kilometres north of the Finland–Norway border. Kautokeino is situated 3½ km southeast of Ginalvarri.
