Anime Sante del Purgatorio, Trapani

Anime Sante del Purgatorio is a Baroque church in the historic centre of Trapani, Sicily. It is best known as the custodial home of the Misteri di Trapani, a cycle of sculptural groups used in the city’s annual Good Friday procession.

Originally founded as a community church in the medieval period, it was elevated to cathedral status in 1844. Trapani Cathedral is situated 210 metres north of Trapani Harbour.

Palazzo Lucatelli is a historic building in central Trapani, Sicily. Founded in 1455 as one of the city’s main hospitals, it remained in medical use until 1968, when services were transferred to the new Sant'Antonio Abate Hospital in Erice. Palazzo Lucatelli is situated 130 metres east of Trapani Harbour.
