Nephin or Nefin, at 806 metres, is the highest standalone mountain in Ireland and the second-highest peak in Connacht. It is to the west of Lough Conn in County Mayo. Nephin is situated 3 km north of Derrymartin.

The 2016 census recorded a population of 178. Lahardaun is situated 6 km northeast of Derrymartin.
