Hartuv, Arabic: ارتون) or Har-Tuv was an agricultural colony in the Judean Hills established in 1882 on land purchased from the Arab village of Artuf by English missionaries. Hartuv is situated 3 km south of Miẕpé Eshta‘ol.

Bayt Mahsir was a Palestinian Arab village in the Jerusalem Subdistrict. It was depopulated during the 1947–48 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine on May 10, 1948, by the Harel Brigade of Operation Makkabi. It was located 9 km west of Jerusalem. Bayt Mahsir is situated 2½ km east of Miẕpé Eshta‘ol.
