Gaurishankar, a mountain in the Nepal Himalayas, is the second highest peak of the Rolwaling Himal, behind Melungtse. The name comes from the Hindu goddess Gauri, a manifestation of Parvati, and her consort Shankar, denoting the sacred regard it is afforded by the people of Nepal. Gaurishankar is situated 3 km northeast of Rolwāliṅ Himāl.
