Roopkund, locally known as Mystery Lake or Skeleton Lake, is a high-altitude glacial lake in Himalayas at an altitude of 5,020 metres, between Trishul peak and Nanda Ghunti peak, in the Chamoli District of Uttarakhand state of India. Roopkund Lake is situated 4 km south of Chāndnīghāt.
