Parochlus Lake
Parochlus Lake is a shallow lake at the head of Karrakatta Valley, to the west-northwest of Husvik Harbor, South Georgia. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1990 after the midge Parochlus steinenii, whose larvae abound near the margins of the lake.Places of Interest

Mount Barren is a mountain, 645 metres high, standing west of Husvik Harbour on the north coast of South Georgia. Its name is descriptive, and was probably given by the Discovery Investigations in 1926–30.
