Artsvashen or Bashkend is a de jure Armenian village in the Chambarak Municipality of the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. It is a 40 square kilometres exclave of Armenia, and is surrounded by the territory of Azerbaijan, whose forces have captured and occupied it since the First Nagorno-Karabakh War in 1992.

Novosaratovka is a village, municipality and minor transport hub in the Gadabay Rayon of Azerbaijan. It has a population of 2,328. Though it's probably older, the current settlement was originally founded in the 1830s by Russians of the Doukhobor sect, one of several Old Believer villages in the area including nearby Novoivanovka and Gorelsk. Novosaratovka is situated 8 km southeast of Artsvasheni Hin.
