The National Library of Belarus is the largest library in the Republic of Belarus, located in Minsk. It houses the largest collection of Belarusian printed materials and the third largest collection of books in Russian behind the Russian State Library and the Russian National Library. National Library of Belarus is situated 3½ km south of Minsk Northeast.

Kurapaty is a wooded area on the outskirts of Minsk, Belarus, where a vast number of people were executed between 1937 and 1941 during the Great Purge by the Soviet secret police, the NKVD and in particular, during the Soviet repressions in Belarus. Kurapaty is situated 3½ km west of Minsk Northeast.
