Angkor Archaeological Park

Angkor Archaeological Park, near Siem Reap in northern Cambodia, is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. It's also known for celebrating the engineering of the world's first hydraulic city and was the largest pre-industrial city on Earth, covering roughly 3,000 square kilometers.

Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is a Theravada Buddhist temple complex and the largest religious complex in the world. Located on a site measuring 162.6 hectares within the ancient capital of Angkor, it was constructed between 1113 and 1150 CE during the reign of the Khmer king Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu.

Angkor Thom

Angkor Thom, alternatively Nokor Thom, located in present-day Cambodia, was the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer Empire. It was established in the late twelfth century by King Jayavarman VII. Angkor Thom is situated 4 km northwest of Vatt Khakaeut Ângkor Vatt.

The town of Siem Reap, in northern Cambodia, is the primary access point for the Angkor Archaeological Park, just north of the city. It is quite laid-back and a pleasant place to stay while touring the temples.
