Island of the Dolls

The Island of the Dolls is a chinampa of the Laguna de Tequila located in the channels of Xochimilco, south of the center of Mexico City, Mexico. A multitude of dolls of various styles and colors can be found throughout the island. Island of the Dolls is situated 3½ km south of Centro Deportivo Xochimilco.

Calle 11 is a station on Line 12 of the Mexico City Metro. The station is located between Lomas Estrella and Periférico Oriente. It was opened on 30 October 2012 as a part of the first stretch of Line 12 between Mixcoac and Tláhuac.

Pueblo Culhuacán

Pueblo Culhuacán is an officially designated neighborhood of the Iztapalapa borough of Mexico City, which used to be a major pre-Hispanic city. Ancient Culhuacán was founded around 600 CE and the site has been continuously occupied since. Pueblo Culhuacán is situated 4½ km north of Centro Deportivo Xochimilco.

Xochimilco is to the south of Mexico City, and gives a glimpse at the effects of rushed urbanization over the years. It's a great place for tourists. Together with the historical center of Mexico City it forms a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Iztapalapa

Iztapalapa is in the eastern part of Mexico City. It is a rough and tumble area that is the most populous borough in the city, as well as the poorest, and most crime-ridden.
