Meenakshi Temple, also known as Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, is a historic Hindu temple located on the southern bank of the Vaigai River in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple is situated 3½ km south of Sambandarālangulam.

Gandhi Memorial Museum, established in 1959, is a memorial museum for Mahatma Gandhi located in the city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, India. Known as Gandhi Museum, it is now one of the five Gandhi Sanghralayas in the country. Gandhi Memorial Museum is situated 3 km southeast of Sambandarālangulam.
