Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe

An Taibhdhearc is the national Irish language theatre of Ireland. It was founded in 1928. The word taibhdhearc means "ghostly vision", from, "taibhse" meaning ghost, and "dearcadh" meaning "view". Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe is situated 250 metres north of Galway City Museum.

Blake’s Castle

Blake's Castle is an urban tower house built around 1470. The castle was used as the Galway County Gaol from 1686 to 1810. It is located on Quay Street in Galway City, Ireland. Blake’s Castle is situated 130 metres northwest of Galway City Museum.
