Shama is a coastal town in the Shama district in the Ghanaian Coastal Plain. It is known for its lush beaches and vegetation. It is about 25 km away from Takoradi and 160 km from Ivoiro, the border town between Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire.

Aboadze is a town in the Western region of Ghana. It serves both as a dormitory town as well as an industrialized zone. It also houses Ghana's first thermal plant for electricity production. Aboadze is situated 6 km southeast of Echuma.
