Rialto Bridge

The Rialto Bridge is the oldest of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. Connecting the sestieri of San Marco and San Polo, it has been rebuilt several times since its first construction as a pontoon bridge in 1173, and is now a significant tourist attraction in the city.

San Marco is the central district of Venice. It is home to many of Venice's major points of interest, and consequently can be extremely crowded with tourists, especially during the day when cruise ships unload their passengers.

Santa Croce is one of the six sestieri of Venice, occupying the northwest part of the main islands. The district includes the Piazzale Roma, home to Venice's bus station and car parks, and around which is the only area of the city in which cars can travel.
