Lau Pa Sat, also known as Telok Ayer Market, is a historic building located within the Downtown Core in the Central Area of Singapore. It was first built in 1824 as a fish market on the waterfront serving the people of early colonial Singapore and rebuilt in 1838. Lau Pa Sat is situated 160 metres east of Boon Tat Street.

Thian Hock Keng Temple, is a temple built for the worship of Mazu, a Chinese sea goddess, in Outram, Singapore. It is the oldest and most important temple of the Hokkien people in the country. Thian Hock Keng is situated 170 metres west of Boon Tat Street.
