Itsukushima Shrine is a Shinto shrine on the island of Itsukushima, best known for its "floating" torii. It is in the city of Hatsukaichi, in Hiroshima Prefecture in Japan, accessible from the mainland by ferry at Miyajimaguchi Station. Itsukushima Shrine is situated 130 metres southeast of Itsukushima shrine.

Miyajima Public Aquarium is an aquarium on the island of Itsukushima in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, Japan. The aquarium is accredited as a Museum-equivalent facility by the Museum Act from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Miyajima Public Aquarium is situated 310 metres southwest of Itsukushima shrine.

Miyajima was a town located on the island of Itsukushima in Saeki District, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. As of 2019, the town had an estimated population of 1,564 and a density of 51.46 persons per km2. The total area was 30.39 km2.

Saeki-ku is one of the eight wards of the city of Hiroshima, Japan. The Hiroshima Branch of the Japan Mint is located here. The ward added the former town of Yuki from Saeki District on April 25, 2005. Saeki-ku is situated 8 km northeast of Itsukushima shrine.
