Basilica Julia

The Basilica Julia was a civil basilica in the Roman Forum. Construction began under Julius Caesar in 46 BC and was completed by Augustus, who ultimately dedicated the basilica to Gaius and Lucius Caesar in 12 AD. Basilica Julia is situated 140 metres south of Chiesa dei Santi Luca e Martina.

Temple of Caesar is situated 150 metres southeast of Chiesa dei Santi Luca e Martina.

The Arch of Septimius Severus at the northwestern end of the Roman Forum is a white marble triumphal arch dedicated in 203 AD to commemorate the Parthian victories of Emperor Septimius Severus and his two sons, Caracalla and Geta, in the two campaigns against the Parthians of 194–195 and 197–199.
