The Colosseum is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, just east of the Roman Forum. It is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built, and is the largest standing amphitheatre in the world. Coliseum is situated 550 metres east of Oratorio dei quaranta martiri.

Basilica Julia

The Basilica Julia was a civil basilica in the Roman Forum. Construction began under Julius Caesar in 46 BCE and was completed by Augustus, who ultimately dedicated the basilica to Gaius and Lucius Caesar in 12 CE. Basilica Julia is situated 100 metres northwest of Oratorio dei quaranta martiri.
