Belclare is a small village in County Galway, Ireland. The village is on the R333 road approximately 7 km from Tuam. It has a little parish church, a small primary school, a shop, pub and post office, a community centre, a GAA pitch and a playground.

Tuam is a town in County Galway, whose religious heritage is the main reason to visit. Tuam means tumulus or burial mound and there was a Bronze Age settlement here, but it was from the 6th century that the town grew as an ecclesiastical centre under St Jarlath.
