Achfary is a hamlet in the Scottish council area of Highland. To the east of the village lies Loch nan Ealachan. It is owned by the Grosvenor Estate and is renowned for its unusual black and white telephone box, erected in the 1960s. Achfary is situated 3½ miles north of Meall Dearg.

Kylesku is a fishing hamlet in Sutherland in the Scottish Highlands. Until 1984, it was the site of a free ferry. It takes its name from Caolas Cumhann, Gaelic for "narrow strait", which is the channel just to the west of the village that connects Loch Glencoul and Loch Glendubh to Loch a' Chàirn Bhàin. Kylesku is situated 4 miles west of Meall Dearg.
