Portavadie is a village on the shores of Loch Fyne and the coast of the Cowal Peninsula, in Argyll and Bute, West of Scotland. Portavadie is also the site of a yard built for the construction of oil platforms, which has since been converted into a marina. Portavadie is situated 2 miles northwest of Sgat Beag.

Kames is a small village on the Cowal Peninsula, in Argyll and Bute, west of Scotland, on the shore of the west arm of the Kyles of Bute. Kames is now part of a continuous coastal strip of housing that joins onto Tighnabruaich. Kames is situated 3½ miles northeast of Sgat Beag.
