Mysore, officially Mysuru, is the second-most populous city of the state of Karnataka after Bangalore. It was the capital of the Wodeyar dynasty and is considered to be the cultural capital of Karnataka.

Madikeri is a beautiful hill station and capital of Kodagu region of Karnataka State, between Mangalore and Mysore. It has a population of over 33,000 people.

Srirangapatna, anglicised to Seringapatam during the British Raj, is a town in Mandya district of Karnataka, India. On an island in the Cauvery River, the town of Srirangapatna was once the fortress capital of the region controlled by Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan.
