Neiva is the capital and most populated city of the Department of Huila, south central Colombia. It is located in the valley of the Magdalena River with a municipal population of 392,009 as on 2026.

Nevado del Huila National Natural Park is a large national park in the Andino region of western Colombia. It protects the area surrounding the Navado del Huila volcano.

San Agustín is a small town in the department of Huila in Colombia that is famous for its pre-Columbian statues. The area has many rock carvings depicting animals. In one waterfall a beautifully carved gorilla faces out of the cascading water.
