Lovech
Lovech is a city in North Bulgaria, on the river Osam under the foothills of the Balkan Mountains. A gateway to the important pass Beklemeto and the mountain crafts centre Troyan, it's also home to a number of preserved 19th-century buildings and a covered bridge.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Lovech Fortress

Lovech Fortress is a medieval stronghold in Lovech, Bulgaria, that gained prominence during the Second Bulgarian Empire. After the Byzantine Empire unsuccessfully besieged Lovech in 1187, it was forced to recognize de facto the restoration of the Bulgarian state.
