No other national park in the Outback is comparable to Mungo National Park — not even Uluru. The dunes of the Walls of China, archeological discoveries and fossil sites all make Mungo National Park unique.
Wentworth

Wentworth is one of the many border towns along the Murray River, part of the Lower Darling region of Outback New South Wales. It's the home of the meeting point of the Murray and Darling River, the two longest rivers in Australia.
Balranald

Balranald is a town within the local government area of Balranald Shire, in the Murray region of far south-western New South Wales, Australia. The town of Balranald is located where the Sturt Highway crosses the Murrumbidgee River in a remote, semi-desert area.

Willandra Lakes Region

The Willandra Lakes Region is a World Heritage Site in the southwestern ends of Outback New South Wales. The main thing to see in the region is Mungo National Park, however, the WHS is much more than the park.
Yanga National Park
Yanga National Park is a national park in Outback New South Wales' Lower Darling region. It's also the main point of interest near Balranald.Pooncarie

Pooncarie is a town of 226 in the Lower Darling region of Outback New South Wales. It's one of the state's least visited towns, and practically only exists as a base for visiting the northern ends of Mungo National Park.
