Brecon is in many ways a typical small Welsh market town in Mid Wales. The surrounding scenery is quite stunning, as Brecon is located within the Brecon Beacons National Park, which extends to the south, east and west.

Welshpool is a market town and community in Powys, Wales, historically in the county of Montgomeryshire. The town is four miles from the Wales–England border and low-lying on the River Severn.

Llandrindod Wells

Llandrindod Wells is a town and community in Powys, Wales. It serves as the seat of Powys County Council, and is therefore the administrative centre of Powys.
Hay-on-Wye

Hay-on-Wye is a small town with a population of about 1,900 in Mid Wales, on the River Wye, very close to the English border and within the borders of Brecon Beacons National Park.

Llanidloes is a town and community on the A470 and B4518 roads in Powys, within the historic county boundaries of Montgomeryshire, Wales. The population in 2011 was 2,929, of whom 15% could speak Welsh.
Crickhowell

Crickhowell is a small town in Powys, Wales. The town has a population of around 2,100 people. Today, Crickhowell is a popular tourist destination, and during summer the town is notably busier.
Rhayader

Rhayader is a market town and community in Powys, Wales, within the historic county of Radnorshire. The town is 20 miles from the source of the River Wye on Plynlimon, the highest point of the Cambrian Mountains, and is located at the junction of the A470 road and the A44 road 13 miles north of Builth Wells and 30 miles east of Aberystwyth.

Builth Wells is a market town and community in the county Powys and historic county Brecknockshire, mid-Wales, lying at the confluence of rivers Wye and Irfon in the Welsh part of the Wye Valley. In 2011 it had a population of 2,568.
Llanwrtyd Wells
