The home of Scottish Premiership team Rangers, Ibrox is the third-largest football stadium in Scotland, with an all-seated capacity of 51,700. Glasgow Rangers is situated 1¼ miles east of Cardonald.

It is the birthplace of Sir Alex Ferguson, manager of Manchester United football club from November 1986 to 2013, the most successful manager in English football, in terms of championship-winning seasons.
