Nufenen Pass is the second highest mountain pass, after Umbrail Pass, with a paved road in Switzerland, at an elevation of 2,478 metres. It lies between the summits of Pizzo Gallina and the Nufenenstock.

The Grieshorn is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located on the Swiss-Italian border. With an altitude of 2,969 metres above sea level, it is the culminating point of the group lying between the Gries Pass, the San Giacomo Pass and the Nufenen Pass.

Gries Pass is a 2,469-metre-high mountain pass between Valais, Switzerland, and Formazza, Italy. There is no road over the pass, from Nufenen Pass the paved road ends and a bridle path leads over to the Italian side.
