Pwll Du Tunnel
The Pwll Du Tunnel was the longest horse-powered tramway tunnel to be built in Britain at 1,875 metres in length. It started in Blaenavon, Torfaen, Wales, and was originally a coal mine, running northward almost horizontally into a hillside.Photo: Alan Bowring, CC BY-SA 2.0.

At 66 kilometres it is the longest cave system in Wales and the second longest in Great Britain behind the Three Counties System on the Cumbria/Lancashire/Yorkshire border. Ogof Draenen is situated 550 feet north of Pwll Du Tunnel.
