Illaunloughan is a medieval Christian monastery and National Monument located in County Kerry, Ireland. The site is located on a tiny island of 0.3 acres in Portmagee Channel, a channel separating Valentia Island from the Iveragh Peninsula. Portmagee is a fishing village on the Iveragh Peninsula of County Kerry, with a population in 2022 of 116. In Irish it's An Caladh, "the ferry", because it was the port for Valentia Island, but a bridge now spans the channel.
