HaMasrek Reserve is a nature reserve situated in the western Jerusalem Mountains, Israel, near moshav Beit Meir. HaMasrek Reserve is renowned and named for its prominent stand of Jerusalem pine trees, which are approximately 170 years old.

Bayt Mahsir was a Palestinian Arab village in the Jerusalem Subdistrict. It was depopulated during the 1947–48 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine on May 10, 1948, by the Harel Brigade of Operation Makkabi. It was located 9 km west of Jerusalem. Bayt Mahsir is situated 580 metres west of The Masrek Viewpoint.
