Fustat

Fustat, also Fostat, was the first capital of Egypt under Muslim rule, though it has been integrated into Cairo. It was built adjacent to what is now known as Old Cairo by the Rashidun Muslim general 'Amr ibn al-'As immediately after the Muslim conquest of Egypt in AD 641, and featured the Mosque of Amr, the first mosque built in Egypt. Fustat is situated 4 km northwest of Basateen (Railway Axis).

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is a national museum in Cairo, Egypt. The museum displays a collection of 50,000 artifacts, presenting the Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to the modern era. National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is situated 2½ km northwest of Basateen (Railway Axis).

Al-Lu’lu’a Mosque

The Lulua Mosque or al-Lu'lu'a Mosque is a mosque in the Muqattam Hills that surround Cairo, Egypt. Built during the reign of the third Fatimid caliph, al-Hakim, in the Fatimid architectural style, the mosque was completed in c. 1016 CE. Al-Lu’lu’a Mosque is situated 3 km north of Basateen (Railway Axis).

Ma'adi is a leafy and formerly suburban district of Cairo, south of the city center on the eastern bank of the Nile. Ma'adi was established in 1904, when a railway was built through the area to connect Cairo and Helwan to the south.

Sayyidah Zainab is one of the old traditional districts of Cairo, Egypt. Its name is based on the presence of the Sayyidah Zainab Mosque. It is known for its traditional restaurants, it also has the Qal'at al-Kabsh neighbourhood, which is one of the famous areas in the district, and the Ibn Tulun Mosque. Sayyidah Zainab District is situated 5 km northwest of Basateen (Railway Axis).
