Rubha nan Gall lighthouse is located north of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull beside the Sound of Mull. The name means "Stranger's Point" in Scottish Gaelic.

Tobermory High School is the only secondary school on the Isle of Mull. It is located in Tobermory, at the northern end of the island. Its feeder primary schools are at Tobermory, Salen, Dervaig, Lochdon, and Ulva Ferry.

Tobermory is the main settlement on the island of Mull, in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. It has the most accommodation and other amenities, and is the obvious base for visiting the island.

Bonnavoulin or Bunavullin is a village on the Morvern peninsula in the Highlands of Scotland. Situated at the northern terminus of the B849, it is about 10 miles from Lochaline and on the eastern shore of the Sound of Mull opposite the isle of Mull and is in the Highland Council area. Bonnavoulin is situated 4 miles east of Erray.

Kilchoan is a village on the Scottish peninsula of Ardnamurchan, beside the Sound of Mull in Lochaber, Highland. It is the most westerly village in mainland Britain, although several tiny hamlets lie further west on the peninsula. Kilchoan is situated 5 miles north of Erray.
