Ein Gedi is an oasis in the Judaean Desert, near the Dead Sea, between Masada and the caves of Qumran. The name refers to Kibbutz Ein Gedi and to the nearby nature reserve.

Chalcolithic Temple

The Chalcolithic temple of Ein Gedi is a Ghassulian public building dating from around 3500 BCE. It lies on a scarp above the oasis of Ein Gedi, on the western shore of the Dead Sea, within modern-day Israel. Chalcolithic Temple is situated 2 km south of Nahal Yishay Watterfall.

Ein Gedi is a kibbutz on the western shore of the Dead Sea in Israel. Located on the edge of the Judaean Desert at the site of historic Ein Gedi, it falls under the jurisdiction of Tamar Regional Council. Ein Gedi is situated 3½ km south of Nahal Yishay Watterfall.

Mitzpe Shalem is an Israeli settlement and former kibbutz in the eastern West Bank. Located near Highway 90 about 21 kilometres north of Ein Gedi and 10 kilometres north of the Green Line about 1 km from the western shores of the Dead Sea, it is the southernmost community under the jurisdiction of Megilot Regional Council. Mitzpe Shalem is situated 10 km north of Nahal Yishay Watterfall.
