Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery and Tibetan Centre is a Tibetan Buddhist complex at Eskdalemuir, Scotland. It is associated with the Karma Kagyu school. The centre includes one of the first Tibetan temples to be constructed in Western Europe, a large stupa, and accommodation for those taking a range of courses on Buddhism, meditation, spiritual development and art. Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery and Tibetan Centre is situated 1 mile north of Hislop’s Grave.
Girdle Stanes

The Girdle Stanes is a stone circle near Eskdalemuir, Dumfries and Galloway. The western portion of the circle has been washed away by the White Esk, leaving 26 of an original 40 to 45 stones in a crescent. Girdle Stanes is situated 1½ miles south of Hislop’s Grave.
