Mount Gimie is the tallest mountain on the island of Saint Lucia. It is located in the Canaries District on the west side of Saint Lucia. The mountain's peak reaches 950 m. Mount Gimie is situated 2 miles northeast of Playing Field.

Choiseul was originally known as Anse Citron, and an independent parish was established in 1765. In 1769 a census was done and recorded 75 whites, 25 free coloured, 512 negroes and 69 estates in Choiseul. Choiseul is situated 4½ miles south of Playing Field.
