The Splügen Pass is an Alpine mountain pass of the Lepontine Alps. It connects the Swiss, Grisonian Splügen 5 kilometres to the north 675 metres below the pass with the Italian Chiavenna 21 kilometres to the south at the end of the Valle San Giacomo 1,789 metres below the pass.

The Surettahorn is a mountain in the Oberhalbstein Range of the Alps located on the border between Italy and Switzerland. It overlooks the Splügen Pass on its west side. The Surettahorn has two summits: Punta Nera and Punta Rossa.
