The Citadel of Erbil, locally called Qellat, is a tell or occupied mound, and the historical city centre of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The citadel was added to the World Heritage List on 21 June 2014. Citadel of Erbil is situated 3½ km southeast of Octa Carpet.

The Kurdish Textile and Cultural Museum is a museum devoted to textiles and other cultural works produced in Kurdistan, especially in Iraqi Kurdistan. It was established in 2004 and is located in a renovated mansion in the southeast quarter of the Citadel of Erbil in Iraq. Kurdish Textile Museum is situated 4 km southeast of Octa Carpet.

Ankawa is a suburb and neighborhood of Erbil in Kurdistan Region, Iraq. It is located 8 kilometres northwest of downtown Erbil. The suburb is predominantly populated by Christian Assyrians, most of whom adhere to the Chaldean Catholic Church. Ankawa is situated 2½ km northeast of Octa Carpet.
